1.   Location –

It is the best beach located in Tingloy, Batangas, Philippines. The main island of the beach which is actually the famous island is located nearly 45 minutes to 1 hour away from Anilao or Talaga Port. A boat ride is the main transport service to reach the beach from both of the ports.

The main island looks like a fish-shaped Maricaban.

2.   How to reach there –

To reach one of the best beaches in Philippines, you can manage a lot of things like –

Firstly, You have to take a bus upto Batangas City and then alight at the Grand Terminal. The cost of the travel would be around 170 to 200 Pesos.

The travel can get upto 2 to 3 hours depending on the time of which you have started your travel. Meanwhile, if you leave early in the morning then only you can dodge the rush hour of Manila city. It can take upto two to three hours if you leave early in the morning, otherwise a 4 hours journey is not a long journey to be at Masasa Beach.

Now, You have to ride a jeepney from the Grand Terminal to Talaga Port or Anilao Port. You can find where the jeepney stations would be, if you can’t find out, just look around and ask locals, they would definitely help you to find the jeepney’s stations. The riding cost would be around 40 to 50 Pesos, and can take 40 minutes to 1 hour to reach the Talaga or Anilao Port.

Note –

You can find boats to reach Masasa Beach, boats are docked at either Anilao or Talaga Port. Also, Anilao Port is used from the start of December upto June, while the other half time, the Talaga Port is used to reach Masasa Beach or Tingloy. Now, the final journey begins to reach Masasa Beach – Once you reach Anilao or Talaga port, you will have 2 different options to reach Masasa Beach –

But before, you have to pay an environmental fee of 80 Pesos in addition to the fare.

  • Catch a public boat to Tingloy Port. It would take around 45 minutes to 1 hour
  • You can go directly to Masasa Beach, but to reach directly there are less boats then to go Tingloy Port first, also the fare would be higher than the first option.

●     Beach Bumming


Masasa Beach is the best beach in the Philippines, while the sand isn’t so bright here but it is one of the best beaches for beach bumming. Just loafing around and watching waves coming with your friend is a great idea and one of the best things to do on Masasa Beach.

●     Hiking


Spend your 100 Pesos, hire a guide and hike to Mag-Asawang Bato. This 45 minutes would be one of the greatest times in your life. Wander?

You can see Mt. Gulugod Baboy, Occidental Mindoro and also takes the best views of Puerto Galera from the Mag-Asawang Bato.

●     Cliff Diving
